Urban Arabesque Styled Shoot

Urban Arabesque wedding shootUrban Arabesque graffiti wedding invitationGraffiti, black leather, concrete, straight lines and gold….the makings of an edgy concept that was the inspiration for this styled shoot in collaboration with Bride Club Me. The colour palette was bold and focused on pure fuscia, mustard, black, aqua and gold. Pops of these colours were injected in the linens and bridal ensemble. The table setup was conceptualised by Rikki from Remarkable Events mixing a modern selection  from the furniture range from Innovative Hiring and metallic accents from Home Centre.

We used this colour palette and the modern geometric lines as a starting point for our stationery set, but gave the suite movement and artistic freedom by creating a graffiti style design. The invitations and RSVP cards were gilded with gold paint to tie in the gold accents in the decor. We wanted to add a flair of the region by incorporating Arabic calligraphy, but wanted to make it edgy instead of the romantic Arabic calligraphy we so often see in invitations.  We used the letters of the word “LOVE” in Arabic and created custom graffiti wall art to be used as an envelope liner. It also served as a perfect backdrop for our gorgeous bride. Don’t you just love her tattoos?  We fell in love with her hand painted leather jacket that also featured an artistic interpretation of the Arabic letters in the word “LOVE” on the back, by artist Charlotte Hudders.
