When I think of the ‘Roaring 20s’ I can’t help thinking about F. Scott Fitzgerald’s great American novel The Great Gatsby.  And with the GATSBY fever reaching fever pitch with remake of the original movie, now is the perfect time to host a Great Gatsby themed party. The story is set in the roaring 1920s following the First World War and when you think roaring 20s—think garden parties;  flappers;  feather boas;  jazz; ostrich feathers; Prohibition; Speakeasies; the Charleston; diamonds and pearls.

I recently designed all the event stationery for a ‘Roaring 20s’ themed party, with custom designed invitations, party signage” Flapper/Dapper Style, Please take one” to be used near the party favors and a set of photo props that also were meant to be party favors.  Each of them had a small tag that read, ” Thanks for coming to my Roaring 20s Party”.
We chose a pastel theme, as the party was over brunch and we wanted to keep it light and elegant.

Each guest, had to pick a ”Flapper Style” (for the ladies) and “Dapper Style” (for the men), photo props and strike a pose to recreate that rich era with its very beautiful and stylish people.
