Lara came to me to wanting to design her ”Olive tree” invite for her dream destination wedding to her fiancé on their favourite Greek Island, Leros. The couple fell in love with the island while on vacation and decided to wed there. They were going to have their ‘not too big fat Greek’ wedding with a few chosen good friends and family and wanted to show their guest a great time.

They knew they wanted a folded card with the weeks agenda and the main invite as an insert. Lara loved the idea of a signature Pret a Papier map in the old explorer style of the illustration.  Their guests enjoyed a weekend long party leading up to the wedding in Leros Castle on top of a hill, an amazing reception at on the terrace of hip boutique hotel, and finished off with a R&R session at the Lime beach Bar. I created custom icons for each of these locations for the custom map, which were meant to guide guests to the respective venues.

We followed the island explorer style for all of the on-the-day stationery and welcome bag contents, complete with custom monogrammed mini ouzo bottle tags, even their tables numbers were named after the Greek islands instead of numbers.
