Ghada had to be one of our dream brides. She knew exactly what she wanted and best of all, we didn’t have to convince her about the difference personalised stationery touches make at a wedding. We were approached by Julia, from Singapore Flower, a Floral design shop in the region, to design a customised look for Ghada and Abdullah’s wedding in Bahrain. Julia guided and organised the entire process of this custom design with us, so that we created this wedding seamlessly (over 4 continents, at one point!!!) That’s design without borders for you. Many scheduled Skype calls, Whatsapp and email messages later, she remains the breeziest planner I’ve ever worked with till date.
Ghada and Abdullah’s garden wedding had a chic and stylish feel to it, shabby touches of white washed wood and burlap but glam-ed up with gold. We wanted to give guests a taste of their style right from the invitation itself, so we sourced this amazing wood textured paper for the front of the invitation and since it was a dual language invitation, the Arabic version was foil pressed on a matching wood textured vellum sheet. The back had their custom designed monogram surrounded by garden blossoms. We also included a dual language information sheet. The whole suite was held together with burlap belly band.
We continued the shabby chic style to create the On-The-Day stationery set that included a watercolour illustrated agenda, table numbers and a stunning seating chart. The unified design brought the whole theme together, and guests couldn’t stop talking about all the personalised touches that Ghada thought of. It is beautiful when a couple makes their special day so unique to them, that guests can relate to the event and feel like they got a glimpse into the couple’s life together. They even got to take home a bit of the greenery and grow a little succulent that will remind them of this special evening long after the wedding is over. Of course, those had to be personalised with little monogrammed plant markers.
